Remote Desktop can be tricky to setup. I Use a Couple of them and they work great as long as you set them up properly. The one built into Windows is mainly for Windows Techs, I use Crossloop, NetOp Remote, Team Viewer. Join.Me, Logmein, VNC, ETC

Democrats/Republicans: Do you support outsourcing of America jobs?
Question by : Democrats/Republicans: Do you support outsourcing of America jobs?
It seems many people here, whether they are a democrat or Republican, support the outsourcing of American jobs. Did you know that about 60% of the jobs that have been created in the past few years have been minimum wage jobs at Mcdonalds and Walmart, while middle class jobs such as manufacturing, engineering, R&D, software development, and science are being outsourced and these people are left either unemployed or to work minimum wage jobs. No engineer I know is willing to work for 2 dollars a day to design planes, housing appliances, cars, and other complex machinery that requires technical skill like Indian engineers or Chinese engineers would. No one can survive on 2 dollars a day here, but 2 dollars can go a long way in India.
So, are you for or against the outsourcing of American jobs? If yes, what practical solution do you propose? Lowering taxes will not do a thing, as that will just allow corporations to create more jobs overseas. If a company frees up 100K in funds thanks to tax breaks, would they be willing to hire 2 American engineers at 50K each or 1000 engineers in India? It seems the only way to keep American jobs here is to bring back tariffs and scrap free-trade agreements, or companies will keep outsourcing until we become a service economy with 80% of our jobs becoming minimum wage jobs.

EFMP annual conference helps minimize stress on Families with special needs
By Rob McIlvaine
FMWRC Public Affairs
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The FMWRC Exceptional Family Member Program brought together about 100 EFMP program managers from around the world to discuss EFMP initiatives, receive updates and learn how to work seamlessly with the CYSS school liaison officers.
Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch, Installation Management Command’s commanding general, has declared July as EFMP Awareness Month.
Besides the conference’s message of improving and standardizing Family and community support, one message stood out above the rest.
“The number one request I hear from EFMP Families as I travel around is for assistance in navigating the variety of services and programs available to them from the Army, the DoD and other government agencies,” Lynch said.
“To address this we are adding 44 System Navigators to EFMP staff around the Installation Management Community,” FMWRC Commanding General Maj. Gen. Reuben D. Jones said.
“These new navigators, stationed at 26 highly-impacted garrisons, will be trained in two two-week courses at the MG Robert M. Joyce Family and MWR Academy, beginning with the first session on Sept. 27,” Jones said.
Soldiers move their Families every two to three years. This move is stressful, but for Families with special needs the stress can be magnified by the need to find special support services.
“We have hired these new EFMP System Navigators to provide non-medical case management for Families. They will help Families with special needs as they navigate through all the hurdles, minimizing the stress,” Sharon Fields, EFMP program manager said.
Families with members requiring special educational and medical services often have to rebuild a complex system of providers and services to support the health and development of their Family members.
They can put an incredible amount of time and effort into creating a network that enables their Family members to flourish, and then, when it comes time to relocate, they have to start again.
“The Army does not intend for these Families to go it alone. The EFMP, managed through FMWRC, is a comprehensive, coordinated program that provides community support, educational, medical, housing and personnel services to Families with special needs,” Lynch said.
EFMP is currently serving 16 percent of all Army Families, or more than 70,000 registered Family members. The program has provided critical support to Families since its start in 1979, as part of the Army Family Covenant.
Families who have questions or need EFMP support are encouraged to go to the garrison Army Community Service and speak with the EFMP manager.

Question by : You are a network support technician for Farm Kettle Foods…?
You are a network support technician for Farm Kettle Foods, a specialty food supplier with five locations across the state. The company relies on its WAN not only for intraoffice communication, but also for scheduling, delivery, logistics, inventory, and communication with the suppliers and customers via the Internet. The manager of the Customer Service Department calls your help desk one morning and complains that none of her customer service representatives can send or receive messages from the Internet, although they can receive messages on the corporation’s internal mail system. List the steps you will take to troubleshoot this problem and describe why each step is necessary. Suppose that your troubleshooting methodology leads you to determine that this problem was caused by a malfunctioning Internet gateway, and further, you learn that thee gateway malfunctioned because of a faulty NIC. Yes computer jobs are in demand. I just got one, Network Administrator. The way that technology is going, you don’t really have to worry about not working in the IT Field. That be said, there is a lot of competition out there. Going to school and getting a degree will really look good on a resume. Certifications are really good to have as well, But in all, get into school and also work at your brothers job, On the job experience with schooling is PRICELESS.
